John Baer - Watchmaker
In addition to having been trained at the NAWCC School of Horology as a traditional watch and clockmaker, John Baer also received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. John and the LWC offer traditional watch making techniques combined with the latest state-of-the art equipment to provide the superior level of service required for fine timepieces. Many watches come to us for repair from all over the world, particularly for Accutron models. Customers have sent us watches for repair from as far away as Australia. In addition to watch making, John also studied various aspects of clock repair in courses taught and sponsored by the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute, and is skilled in all aspects of antique clock repair and restoration. |
Ricci Dehl - Jeweler
Jewelry designer, Ricci Dehl came to the LWC with over ten years of jewelry making and repair experience. Her education includes a B.A. degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She took various basic metals courses at Millersville University of Pennsylvania, then worked as a studio assistant at Peters Valley Craft Center in New Jersey, continued her jewelry studies at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina, took silver smithing workshops at Brian Clarke Studios in Ireland, followed by stone setting seminars at Stewart's School in Jupiter, Florida, and finally Ricci apprenticed with a goldsmith in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Ricci also has her diamond-grading certificate from the International Gemological Institute. Her love of gems and jewelry is catching.
